Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr) Yeoh Tiong Lay, a chartered builder and dynamic entrepreneur in Malaysia, is currently the Honorary Life President of Master Builders Association Malaysia (MBAM).
He is a also Past President and Lifetime Member of the International Federation of Asian and Western Pacific Contractors' Associations (IFAWPCA) which comprises contractors' associations from Australia, HongKong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand; and the Past Chairman of the ASEAN Constructors' Federation (ACF), a regional grouping of building contractors' associations from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
He was the Senior Vice President of the world contractors' association, Confederation of International Contractors' Associations (CICA).
Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr) Yeoh Tiong Lay, born on 18th December 1929, is the Group Executive Chairman of three public-listed companies on the main board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange. They are:-
- YTL Corporation Berhad - a construction-based company with extensive diversification into other construction and infrastructure-related industries especially power generation, housing development, hotel & property development and manufacturing.
- YTL Power International Berhad - an independent power producer.
- YTL Cement Berhad - a cement and ready-mixed concrete manufacturer.
- YTL Land & Development Berhad - a property development company.
He has been involved in the construction industry for the last 51 years with extensive experience and knowledge of construction methodology, having successfully completed numerous major projects that include high-rise buildings, schools, hospitals and many others.
