C P Group
C P Group was founded by Dato' Tan Chew Piau in 1972. Since then, the Group has established itself at the forefront of the construction industry in Malaysia. Its proven track record and reputation as a leading construction company secured its listing on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1990 under Chew Piau Berhad. Dato' Tan Chew Piau relinquished his stake in Chew Piau Berhad in 1993 and continued to build successes within the C P Group.
C P Land Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in 1993 as the property development arm of C P Group. Since its inception, C P Land has successfully collaborated with other members of the C P Group of companies developing numerous prestigious commercial and residential projects. These include the 22-storey CP Tower, the 388-room Eastin Hotel, 2½ storey link houses in Bukit Serdang and the up-market Kota Villas enclave located off Jalan Duta. Other developments in progress include the Semenyih Impian single-storey link houses, Ipoh Road condominium and the fully integrated Queensbay waterfront development in Penang.
C P Landmark Sdn. Bhd. a wholly owned subsidiary of C P Land Sdn. Bhd., was established in 2003 for the dedicated purpose of undertaking the revival and completion of the Bayan Bay development project in Penang. The project that had stalled in the aftermath of the asian financial crisis has now been renamed "Queensbay" to signify a new lease of life under the Group. Work on Queensbay commenced in July 2005.
